Which banks are supported?
All major Armenian banks: Ameria Bank, Inecobank, Ardshinbank, ACBA Bank, IDBank, Converse Bank, Evocabank, and VTB Bank Armenia.
Do I need a VPOS contract?
Yes. Contact your bank's acquiring department and request VPOS access. They will provide you with merchant credentials.
Is it secure?
Yes. ArmPay uses the bank's hosted payment page — card details are entered directly on the bank's secure page, never on your store.
What currencies are supported?
AMD (Armenian Dram) is the primary currency. The bank handles currency conversion for international cards.
How long does setup take?
If you already have VPOS credentials, setup takes about 5 minutes. Getting VPOS access from a bank typically takes 3-7 business days.
What happens if a payment fails?
The customer sees an error on the bank's page and can retry. The order stays unpaid in Shopify until successful.
Can I use ArmPay with an existing Shopify store?
Yes. ArmPay works with any Shopify store regardless of who built it.
Can I test before going live?
Yes. ArmPay includes a test mode where you can simulate transactions with test card numbers.
