Common questions
How does the rotation work?
You pick targeting criteria (collections, product types, tags), a discount percentage, how many products per rotation, and how often it runs. DealRotator randomly selects products from your criteria and applies the discount on schedule — fully automated.
What’s the minimum rotation interval?
DealRotator supports rotations from every hour up to weekly intervals. Pick whatever fits your campaign.
Can I stop a discount being applied to specific products?
Yes. Add products to the exclusion list and they’ll never be selected for a rotation, even if they match your targeting criteria.
How are discounts applied in Shopify?
DealRotator uses Shopify Functions to apply discounts. They appear as automatic discounts in your Shopify admin under Discounts.
Will existing orders be affected?
No. Discounts only apply going forward to the currently rotated products. Past orders are untouched.
Do I need a minimum number of products?
You need at least one collection with products for the app to function. There’s no upper limit on how many products can be in your rotation pool.
Can I run multiple campaigns at once?
Yes. Each campaign has its own targeting, discount, and schedule. Run as many as you want in parallel.
How do I cancel?
Uninstall the app from your Shopify admin at any time. Billing is handled through Shopify’s billing system.
